The book of sand

Create a book from the short story ‘The Book of Sand’ by Jorge Luis Borges​

The Idea

My idea was to have the entire story written out onto one long, seemingly never ending string of paper as the story is about an infinite book.

The typographic approach I took was use a smaller, Spanish influenced serif body copy for the most part and then for the key pull quotes that are able to tell the story via a skim read, I used a thick, large sans-serif font from the 70s.

Additional Work

I also created 2 moving posters using After Effects that focused on the recurring theme of 'infinite' in the book.
